To reconstruct the former temperature conditions of North-West Africa, we were in Morocco to sample groundwater from the Turonian aquifer in the Tadla basin.

This type of climate reconstruction can be usable for the last few thousand years and it is require a complex paleohydrological study of the water body, based on the determination of the mean residence time of the water and the recharge temperature derived from dissolved noble gases.
