At the annual general meeting of the Hungarian Meteorological Society on 13 December 2018, Alfréd Hille Youth Award was awarded to Elemér László (PhD), research fellow of the Isotope Climatology and Environmental Research Centre.

The Hungarian Meteorological Society founded the Alfréd Hille Youth Award for the best thesis of the year in meteorology. The Alfréd Hille Youth Award includes gratuity and numbered certificate.
